Well at long last our ship has come in. On Friday the 14th, the ship with our container docked in Wellington. Early the next week we got a call saying they would like to schedule delivery for friday, which we happily accepted. On wednesday the quarantine officer inspecting our shipment said they had found two things that concerned them. One was a Christmas ornament with a pine cone in it and the second was some of Greta’s medicine.

Friday morning was dreary and wet with a light mist, but it didn’t stop the movers from showing up bright and early with a small truck and a van. With a couple of hours these were unloaded and they headed back to their warehouse for one more load. By lunch time they were done and we had a house again. The delivery weekend turned out to be a holiday weekend (Labour Day) so we had three days to start unpacking and getting things put away. So finally we have a house that feels like it’s our and it’s beginning to feel like we really live here!

Sunday afternoon in Denver, 2:35 p.m. MDT. Let us know how you are when you can.
