It’s obviously been an eventful year for us and we’re looking forward to more adventures in 2017. Our New Year celebration was pretty low key, but overall it turned out to be a very Welly New Years, i.e. with gale force winds. The holiday period is fairly prolonged here compared to the States. Kelly’s office closed after the 23rd and will be closed until Jan. 4th, so it’s been a bit of a stay-cation. In a way it’s nice to have some forced down time after the rush and hubub of the getting ready for the holidays. We took advantage by driving a couple hours north of town to the Wairarapa region for some camping. Hopscotch hasn’t stopped talking about it so we’ll plan another trip soon.
Our other big news is that I’ve finally been offered a job! I’ll go in to it more later, but it’s something in my field that I’m excited about. And it will finally mean that we’re all truly settled. But for now we’ll wish you a healthy and happy 2017! Cheers!
