We have finally started our first bona-fide packing. Last weekend we started getting our winter jackets and clothes boxed up since we’re going to have two consecutive summers. We also started going through our closets and getting rid of all the clothes we haven’t worn in years. And we’ve started on getting some books and other odds and ends (or bits and bobs) packed.
Also this week, we got signed up with our new pet transporter, so hopefully we won’t have too much more drama. Unfortunately the price the new company quoted us is significantly more than the first company, but I got a few estimates and they’re all pretty close, so it looks like there isn’t much choice. Another unfortunate aspect to the original company going out of business is they’re listed on our pet import permit so we’ll probably have to get that updated yet again.
Finally, we are hopefully getting into the stretch where more of what we’re doing will lend itself to pictures. Emailing back and forth with a pet export company isn’t really interesting, but now that we’ll actually be soing stuff like packing look out for more pictures and such in the future.
