Quiet

This was a relatively quiet week.  I was out of town so I wasn’t able to pick up the employment verification letters and position descriptions for my current job, but I’ll get them on monday.  The only other development his week was a request from our immigration agent for us to include Kelly’s diploma and transcript from her undergrad.  She also suggested we start joining job boards and start networking, though this will probably be hard as the NZ ESRI user board seems to be mostly just GIS advice and such.  She suggested we also join some boards or groups for social clubs we might enjoy such as tramping (hiking) clubs, and start networking.  I assume this to show to INZ that we will have social support in NZ and will be able to integrate easily.  We also need to put together our ‘relationship chronology’ which proves our relationship.

This coming week we’ll have our medical exams, and we’ll have all of our documentation together, too.  We’re not quite sure what happens then – whether we send all of our materials to NZ and our agent submits the application for us, or whether we scan and send all our documents to her to look over, and then we submit it on our own.  Either way, the great gathering of documents seems to be nearing its end.
