An Unexpected Journey

We’ve had some big moves in the past. I’ve left NY for Summit County, Colorado in a 2-door Honda Civic and returned back to NY three years later with it so full I couldn’t even squeeze a towel in the trunk.  Kelly’s crossed half the country towing a U-Haul behind her struggling Corolla.  But those were amateur moves compared to what we’re attempting now.  This blog is going to be our record of a real move.  Not too long ago, after much thought and discussion, some of it actually sober and considered, we decided to try to resettle in New Zealand.  This blog is going to be our record of not just the process, how we figured out all the big and little logistics, but also the ups and downs, the obstacles and the… overcomings.  Hopefully we’ll be able to look back on this blog and think “wow, we did that”.
